VS1 Privacy Policy

Last updated: 11/10/2025

1.0 Introduction and Our Privacy Philosophy

1.1 Commitment to Privacy

This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) describes what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances we may share it. VS1 adheres to the principles of data minimization and respect for user privacy. Our philosophy is based on the non-custodial nature of the platform: we provide you with a tool to interact with the blockchain without requiring your personal information to use the core features.

1.2 Scope

This Policy applies to the information we collect when you interact with the Interface located at vs1.finance. It does not apply to third-party services, such as XUMM Wallet, or to the XRP Ledger blockchain itself, which have their own policies and rules.

2.0 What Information We Collect and Why

2.1 What We DO NOT Collect

It is important for us to first inform you what data we purposefully do not collect. This is the foundation of trust in a decentralized environment. VS1 does not require the creation of traditional accounts and does not collect or store the following personally identifiable information (PII):

  • First and last name
  • Email address
  • Physical address
  • Phone number
  • Date of birth

2.2 Information We Collect

We adhere to a “pragmatic privacy” model. While the early crypto ethos aimed for absolute anonymity, modern realities require the collection of a minimally necessary amount of data to ensure security and improve the product. This model, adopted by leading platforms like Uniswap, allows us not to collect PII, but at the same time to analyze public and anonymous data to protect users and develop the platform.

Public Blockchain Data

When you connect your non-custodial wallet to the Interface, we receive your public wallet address. This address is publicly available information on the XRPL blockchain and is necessary for the proper functioning of the Interface (e.g., to display your balance and transaction history). We do not create or assign this address to you.

Limited Off-Chain Usage Data (Analytics)

We may collect anonymous information about your interaction with the Interface. This may include browser type, device type, language, pages visited, and features used. This data is collected using technologies such as localStorage and is used in an aggregated form for analysis and improvement of the user experience, bug fixing, and performance optimization. We do not collect or store your IP address in an identifiable form; it may be anonymized or used only for general geolocation data (e.g., country).

Correspondence

If you contact us by email at team@vs1.finance, we collect the information you provide in your message (e.g., your email and the content of your request) to be able to respond to you.

3.0 How We Use and Share Information

3.1 Use of Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

  • Providing and Supporting the Interface: To ensure core functionality, such as displaying portfolio data and interacting with protocols.
  • Improvement and Personalization: To analyze how users interact with the Interface so that we can improve its design, functionality, and performance.
  • Security: We may use your public wallet address to check for links to known illegal activities (e.g., hacks, sanctions) using third-party analytical services. This practice is an industry standard for protecting the ecosystem and bona fide users.
  • Communication: To respond to your inquiries sent to our support service.

3.2 Sharing of Information

  • No Sale of Data: We never have and never will sell your data to third parties.
  • Service Providers: We may share limited information with third-party service providers who assist us in our operations. For example, we may use hosting services or analytics platforms. We require such providers to comply with strict confidentiality obligations.
  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required by law, in response to a court order, subpoena, or other legal process, or if we believe in good faith that such disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.

4.0 Data Security and Storage

4.1 Security Measures

We employ reasonable administrative, technical, and physical measures to protect the limited information we collect from unauthorized access, use, alteration, or destruction. All traffic between your browser and our servers is encrypted using the HTTPS protocol.

4.2 Your Role in Security

The security of your assets depends entirely on you. As we are a non-custodial platform, we do not have access to your private keys. Your primary responsibility is the secure storage of your keys and the protection of your devices from malware and phishing.

4.3 Data Storage

Anonymous usage data is stored only as long as necessary to achieve the purposes set out in this Policy. Data on the XRPL blockchain is public and permanent and is beyond our control.

5.0 Third-Party Wallets and Services

5.1 XUMM Wallet Privacy

When you use XUMM Wallet to connect to our Interface, you are interacting with a third-party application that has its own Privacy Policy. We do not receive your private keys or other confidential information from XUMM Wallet. We recommend that you review the XUMM Wallet privacy policy to understand how they handle your data.

5.2 Data on the Blockchain

We remind you once again that all transactions you send to the XRP Ledger are public, permanent, and irreversible. Anyone can view your public address and its associated transactions on a blockchain explorer. This transparency is an inherent part of blockchain technology.

6.0 Your Rights and Choices

6.1 Opting Out of Analytics

You can limit the collection of usage data by using your browser's privacy settings to block cookies and other trackers. However, this may affect the functionality of some parts of the Interface.

6.2 Children's Privacy

Our Interface is not intended for persons under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have received data from a child, we will take steps to delete it.

7.0 Policy Updates and Contact Information

7.1 Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Policy on this page. We encourage you to periodically review this Policy for any changes.
